On October 4, 2023, 47-year-old Knoxville resident Dorian Steeley was fatally shot in the Western Heights neighborhood. The incident occurred at a residence in the 1300 block of Stair Avenue. Steeley was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in a personal vehicle, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
