Death by Force

On April 11, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., 27-year-old Alcapone Branch was fatally shot inside an apartment on University Court in Nashville, Tennessee. The suspect, 31-year-old Joshua E. Coffee, allegedly shot Branch in the head following an argument. After the shooting, Coffee fled to a nearby apartment, where he was apprehended by law enforcement. A 9mm handgun, matching the caliber used in the homicide, was recovered from the couch where Coffee was found.
