On July 24, 2024, 37-year-old Thomas Anthony Randolph of Beechgrove, Tennessee, was fatally shot in the Lakewood Park area. According to the Coffee County Sheriff's Department, Randolph was a passenger in a vehicle near Atlanta Road when he became involved in a confrontation that led to shots being fired into the truck.
