On September 1, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in the Lakewood neighborhood of Old Hickory, Nashville, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. Steven Gutierrez, 41, was hosting a party at his residence on Fields Drive when an altercation broke out around 3:30 a.m. Witnesses reported that during the dispute, Gutierrez allegedly shoved a 19-year-old man, identified as Angel Valdez-Nives. In response, Valdez-Nives reportedly drew a firearm and shot Gutierrez multiple times.
