In the late hours of a Saturday evening in Madison, Tennessee, a gathering of men behind an auto sales business took a fatal turn. On October 19, 2024, Edin Delacruz-Reyes, a 28-year-old man, was shot and killed. The incident occurred in a parking lot at 1320 Gallatin Pike South, where a small group had assembled. An argument is reported to have broken out, leading to the deadly confrontation.
Responding Metro Nashville Police Department officers discovered Delacruz-Reyes suffering from
multiple gunshot wounds, including at least one to the chest. He was rushed to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation by homicide detectives.
Following the incident, authorities identified a suspect, 29-year-old Juan Ramirez-Guerra. He was located and taken into custody by Specialized Investigations Division detectives on Pillow Street. Ramirez-Guerra has since been charged with criminal homicide in connection with the death of Edin Delacruz-Reyes. He was subsequently jailed on a $150,000 bond. The investigation into the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting is ongoing.
