On January 22, 2023, at approximately 4:15 a.m., Allentown police responded to reports of a shooting at Mamajuana, a restaurant located in the 1000 block of Union Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Blessing Alida Taveras, a resident of Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, suffering from a gunshot wound.
