On April 19, 2023, at approximately 8:07 a.m., 43-year-old Rasheed Chiverton was shot multiple times on the 2900 block of North Stillman Street in North Philadelphia. He sustained gunshot wounds to the neck, back, and lower body. Emergency responders transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he remained in critical condition. After spending nearly two weeks in a coma, Chiverton succumbed to his injuries on May 1, 2023.
