On April 28, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in Philadelphia's Lawncrest neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of three teenagers and the injury of a fourth. The victims were identified as 17-year-old Malik Ballard, 18-year-old Khalif Frezghi, and 14-year-old Salah Fleming. A 16-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach but survived.
