A young man’s life was cut short in a burst of gunfire on a Friday evening in Philadelphia. Michael Goodwin, a 21-year-old Black male, was on the 5600 block of Baltimore Avenue on May 19, 2023, when violence erupted. Just before 9 p.m., the sound of gunshots echoed through the street, leaving three people wounded.

When Philadelphia Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Goodwin lying on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Me ...
