On August 11, 2023, Pennsylvania State Police responded to a residence on Creek Road in Tuscarora Township, Bradford County, following reports of two deceased individuals. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of 45-year-old Fay Ann Minier and her longtime boyfriend, 58-year-old Julio Cruz. Preliminary investigations suggest that Cruz fatally shot Minier before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide.
