In the late summer of 2023, the life of 20-year-old Dametrius McClain-Jackson was cut tragically short on the streets of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Known affectionately as 'Meechie,' the young Black man, a former football standout at Coatesville Area Senior High and a member of the Lycoming College football team, was found lying in the middle of Lime Street at the intersection of Madison Avenue on August 23, 2023, with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
