On the night of October 20, 2023, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Coatesville City Police responded to reports of a shooting in front of 139-141 Rosemont Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered 41-year-old Lawrence Michael Hurd, a resident of Coatesville, lying on the porch with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
