On March 2, 2024, 15-year-old Ahmeen Palmer of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in the parking lot of a T.G.I. Friday's restaurant in Loyalsock Township. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. while Palmer was attending a birthday party at the establishment. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at UPMC Williamsport at 8:10 p.m.
