On April 7, 2024, 19-year-old rapper Namir "Jumpout BM" Jernigan was fatally shot in North Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. on the 2500 block of Harlan Street. Philadelphia Police responded to reports of gunfire and discovered over a dozen shell casings from three different caliber firearms at the scene, along with a trail of blood leading down the block.
