In the early evening of June 3, 2024, tragedy struck in the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, when 33-year-old Richard Lee Beauford, a Black male, was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 5:59 p.m. in the 400 block of Frank Young Avenue. Officers from the Chester Police Department responded to reports of a shooting and found Beauford lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
