On June 9, 2024, 17-year-old Chester High School student Sabrie "Breezy" Pierce was fatally shot outside the Wallingford Estates Apartments in Chester, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 8:11 p.m. during an attempted marijuana transaction involving two ounces of the substance. Pierce was shot twice in the chest by an assailant who approached the vehicle from a nearby wooded area. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
