On October 5, 2024, 32-year-old Latoya Davis, a resident of Darby, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot outside a Wawa convenience store located at 910 MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale. The incident occurred around 7:20 p.m., when police responded to reports of gunfire and found Davis lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to her upper torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter. Tragically, Davis was five months pregnant at the time of her death.
