On April 11, 2023, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, 9-year-old Sakendra Syann Steele was tragically killed alongside her siblings, 12-year-old Sakenya Syretha Steele and 14-year-old Sakenlo Shawn Steele Jr., in a murder-suicide perpetrated by their mother, 40-year-old Ethel Syretha Steele. Authorities responded to a call around noon and, upon forcibly entering the residence on Brookhill Drive, discovered the bodies of Ethel and her three children, each having suffered fatal gunshot wounds. ...
