On May 12, 2023, 19-year-old Quincy Mills of Hollister, North Carolina, was found deceased in his vehicle on Evans Farm Road. The Halifax County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. Mills' family was notified, and an investigation into his death commenced.
