On June 18, 2023, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Fayetteville police officers conducted a welfare check at a residence in the 3500 block of Torbay Drive, following a request from a concerned family member. Upon arrival, they discovered 58-year-old Sandra Robinson and her husband, 50-year-old Lewis Robinson, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Tragically, both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Fayetteville Police Department initiated a homicide investigation, treating the incident as isolated with no immediate threat to the public. As of now, authorities have not disclosed specific details regarding the circumstances leading to the shootings, nor have they announced any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the case. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Sandra Robinson is survived by her daughters, Ashley Murrell and Asia Robinson; her sister, Tina Mungro; and her grandchild, Raely'n Spencer. A viewing was held on June 29, 2023, at Wiseman Mortuary in Fayetteville, with burial following at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglas, Georgia.
