On July 3, 2023, in Creswell, North Carolina, 42-year-old Arthur Lloyd Tann Jr. was fatally shot in his residence. Responding to reports of a shooting around 11 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff's Office discovered Tann deceased at the scene. His partner, 39-year-old Tanita Patterson, had also sustained gunshot wounds and was airlifted to ECU Hospital in Greenville for treatment.
