On the morning of August 8, 2023, at approximately 9:00 a.m., Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the Woodbriar Apartments in Rural Hall, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 47-year-old Chante Ezequil Taylor inside an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
