Murdered

On September 16, 2023, at approximately 1:38 a.m., Durham police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of NC Highway 54. Upon arrival, witnesses informed officers that the victim, later identified as 30-year-old Aaron Parker of Durham, had been transported from the scene in a private vehicle. While en route to the hospital, occupants of the vehicle contacted 911 for assistance. Officers met the vehicle at the hospital, where Parker was pronounced dead from his injuries.
