On the evening of September 18, 2023, in Spring Lake, North Carolina, 42-year-old Angela Gwyn was fatally shot while inside a vehicle with three children. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. near South Sixth Street and N.C. Highway 210. All four occupants sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where Ms. Gwyn succumbed to her injuries.
