On October 8, 2023, Wilmington Police Department officers conducted a welfare check at the Hawthorne at Oleander apartment complex on Adirondack Way in Wilmington, North Carolina. Inside the residence, they discovered 34-year-old nurse Adriana Hall deceased from a gunshot wound.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 17-year-old male relative of Hall, identified as her cousin. He was apprehended in a nearby park while driving Hall's vehicle, which he had taken after the incident. Aut ...
