On October 8, 2023, Wilmington Police Department officers conducted a welfare check at the Hawthorne at Oleander apartment complex on Adirondack Way in Wilmington, North Carolina. Inside the residence, they discovered 34-year-old nurse Adriana Hall deceased from a gunshot wound.
