On October 15, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., 54-year-old Cornelius O.J. Bolden was fatally shot at the Hillrock Estates apartment complex on Magnolia Hill Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested 20-year-old Marcus Leon Hook on October 18, 2023, charging him with murder in connection to Bolden's death. Hook was booked into the Mecklenburg County jail, w ...
