On January 1, 2024, at approximately 5:16 p.m., Fayetteville police responded to a ShotSpotter notification in the 1800 block of Harris Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 36-year-old David Earl Page Jr. deceased in the backyard of a residence, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
The Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit promptly initiated an investigation into Page's death. On January 30, 2024, authorities arrested 21-year-old Omarion Malik Allen in connection with the homicide. Allen was charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder, indicating the involvement of additional suspects.
The arrest took place in the 100 block of Enoch Avenue, and Allen was subsequently held in the Cumberland County jail without bail. The investigation remains active, with detectives seeking further information to identify and apprehend any accomplices involved in the crime.
