On January 21, 2024, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Greensboro police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Patriot Court. Upon arrival, officers discovered 58-year-old Rodney Dwayne Watts with critical injuries. Despite prompt medical attention, Watts succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
