On January 27, 2024, at approximately 3 a.m., a violent confrontation erupted in the parking lot of The Flats at Arrowood apartment complex, located on Lodge South Circle in Charlotte, North Carolina. The altercation escalated into a shootout between two groups, resulting in four individuals sustaining gunshot wounds. Among the victims was 32-year-old Daron Markell Polk, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
