On March 9, 2012, 30-year-old Anthony Michael Lennon vanished from his workplace in Moore, Oklahoma, sparking a perplexing case that would unfold over more than a decade. Lennon, a desk clerk at a Super 8 hotel, had relieved a coworker in the evening and was last seen around 3:30 a.m. When authorities were called to the scene, they discovered what appeared to be evidence of a violent struggle.
Another employee had found a pool of blood, one of Lennon's shoes, bloody shoe prints, and shirt buttons. Adding to the mystery, all the money from the hotel's register was missing. Initially, the scene suggested a possible abduction and robbery, launching an investigation into his disappearance.

Investigators learned that at the time he went missing, Lennon was a registered sex offender with a pending child pornography case against him in Cleveland County District Court. On October 30, 2025, Lennon was located and arrested in Canton, New York. His true identity was confirmed through fingerprints. Following his capture, he was convicted in federal court for failure to register as a sex offender.
