In the summer of 2008, a 24-year-old male named Andrew Paul Brosseit vanished from Moore, Oklahoma. He was last seen on July 30, 2008, at a friend's apartment located in the 700 block of City Avenue. Andrew, who was also known as Andy, left the residence on foot, telling his friend he had to "take care of some business." He was never seen or heard from again. Brosseit had only recently moved to Oklahoma from Chicago, Illinois, and was unemployed at the time he went missing. His life had also taken him to Arizona at one point. Andrew was a United States Army veteran who had served a tour of duty in Iraq. Upon his return, he reportedly struggled with substance abuse. He is described as a white male with blond hair and hazel eyes, standing between 5'7" and 5'8" and weighing between 180 and 185 pounds. He had several distinguishing marks, including acne scars on his face, burn scars from grease on the tops of his feet, and a recent wound on his right foot. His tattoos were also very specific: the word "Chicago" across his upper chest, a cross on his abdomen, his last name "Brosseit" on his right forearm, and a star alongside the Chinese symbol for "eternal" on his left upper arm. At the time of his disappearance, he was clean-shaven. The Moore Police Department is the investigating agency for Andrew's case. Unfortunately, very few details have emerged since his disappearance, and his case has grown cold over the years. The ambiguity of his last known words and his sudden departure from his friend's home have left a painful void for those who knew him. The case of Andrew Brosseit is an overview of a young man who, after serving his country, faced personal battles and then disappeared without a trace, leaving a lingering mystery and an unresolved investigation.
