In the spring of 1977, the life of 22-year-old Dennis Scott Cole was tragically cut short. On a day in April of that year, his body was discovered on an embankment just off Highway 66 in Jackson County, Oregon. The cause of his death was violent and immediate; he had been shot twice in the head. This act of violence, stark and brutal, left behind a mystery that has endured for decades.
