On April 18, 2021, Edgar Morales, a 30-year-old man from Prineville, was found dead beside his white Ford pickup along Lone Pine Road in rural Jefferson County. A sheriff's deputy discovered him after a call reporting a body in the area near Skull Hollow, and investigators determined he had been shot.
