On June 27, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting in the 1300 block of Wiregrass Road near Lumberton, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Terry Leach Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite prompt medical attention, Leach succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
