On October 11, 2024, at approximately 4:51 p.m., officers from the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a reported shooting in the 900 block of Greenleaf Drive, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Tyshaun Laron Hines suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported Hines to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation.
As of now, no suspects have been identified or arrested in connection with Hines' death. Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are actively pursuing leads and have urged anyone with information to come forward. The Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
Born on July 24, 2002, in Roseboro, North Carolina, Tyshaun was known for his vibrant personality and deep connections with family and friends. He is survived by his parents, siblings, and extended family, all of whom are mourning his untimely passing. Funeral services were held on October 26, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Roseboro, followed by interment at Snow Hill Cemetery.
