On October 12, 2024, at approximately 6:22 a.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting in the 400 block of South Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh. Upon arrival, they found 30-year-old Christian Michael Oldham suffering from a gunshot wound. Oldham was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
