On October 26, 2024, 30-year-old Brandi Alexis Scott was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound in the 100 block of Elizabeth Street near Whiteville, North Carolina. Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
