Joan Everette, a 51-year-old woman from Whiteville, NC, tragically lost her life on August 19, 2011. She was shot in the head while sitting in her car in the parking lot of Columbus Regional Healthcare System hospital. The incident occurred early in the morning, around 7 a.m., and resulted in her immediate death. Joan Everette was of African American ethnicity.
