Upon arrival, they discovered two brothers, Frederick Dixon, 46, and Leo Dixon, 40, lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by deputies and paramedics, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Approximately a month later, on November 27, 2024, 24-year-old Elijah Tushawn Davis was arrested in connection with the double homicide. Davis, a resident of Brantwood Court, Roseboro, was charged with two counts of murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. The arrest followed an extensive investigation that identified Davis as a suspect. After obtaining warrants, the U.S. Marshals Service located Davis in Greenville, North Carolina, leading to his apprehension.
