On November 12, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., 22-year-old Apree Dontell Leak was found with a gunshot wound at the Circle K gas station on South Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had been transported to this location by an acquaintance after being shot elsewhere. Upon arrival, paramedics were flagged down to assess his condition. Leak was subsequently taken to Atrium Main hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
