In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Niagara Falls, New York, the life of 25-year-old Desmond J. Zimmerman was tragically cut short. On August 19, 2023, Zimmerman, a male resident of the city, was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred at the intersection of 4th and Niagara Street, near the city's tourist district. The incident marked the eighth homicide in Niagara Falls that year.
