In the midst of an autumn day, tragedy struck on a Buffalo highway, claiming the life of 22-year-old Keyshawn Nathaniel Gault. On October 26, 2023, the young man, an employee of the Buffalo Sewer Authority, was driving a city-owned vehicle on the I-190 South near the Niagara Street exit with two of his colleagues. It was then that their vehicle was targeted in a brazen daylight shooting. Gault was fatally wounded, while his two co-workers sustained injuries but survived the violent encounter.
