On April 21, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Rochester police responded to reports of gunfire on Day Place, located on the city's southwest side. Upon arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Ricky Elliott suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where, despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead.
