On April 25, 2024, 71-year-old Deborah "Debbie" Poprawski was found deceased from a gunshot wound in her home on Monroe-Orleans County Line Road in Hamlin, New York. Her husband, 72-year-old John H. Poprawski, was also discovered at the scene with critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
