In the early morning hours of April 29, 2024, the life of 27-year-old Temel Phillips of Queens Village was tragically cut short. A Black male, Phillips was fatally shot outside the Caribbean Fest Lounge on Rockaway Boulevard in South Ozone Park. The incident occurred around 1:04 a.m., when police from the 106th Precinct responded to a call of a man shot.
