In the early hours of May 28, 2024, Amy Redmond, 48, of Smallwood, New York, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Sleepy Hollow Apartment Complex in Monticello. Responding to a 911 call at approximately 12:33 a.m., Monticello Police officers discovered Redmond and an unidentified male inside a vehicle, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
