In the early morning hours of January 22, 2023, the life of 27-year-old Breana C. Conner, a Black female from Sikeston, Missouri, was tragically cut short. Just after 3 a.m., officers from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded to reports of multiple gunshots in the 800 block of Southwest Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a grim scene inside a residence where Breana and her husband, 33-year-old Kiara D. Haynes, had been shot.
