On February 6, 2023, 64-year-old Ralph "Skeeter" Leon Karlinski Jr. was found deceased from gunshot wounds at his residence near St. James, Missouri. Upon arrival, Phelps County Sheriff's deputies discovered his body following a 911 call reporting the shooting.
