On April 16, 2023, Alyssa Jordan, a 50-year-old resident of Peculiar, Missouri, was found deceased in her home from a gunshot wound to the left cheek. Her longtime boyfriend, 49-year-old Christopher Marshall, contacted authorities, claiming that Jordan had shot herself and disposed of the firearm by throwing it into a nearby pond.
