On December 18, 2020, the quiet community of Peculiar, Missouri, was disturbed by the discovery of 57-year-old Lori Chevalier, a female resident, found deceased in her home. Police were initially called to the residence in Windmill Estates for a welfare check around 4:45 p.m. Upon gaining entry to the house, officers discovered Lori Chevalier in a bedroom, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds to her head and arm.
